Children don't wait for life to get better in order to be in joy of the moment. They do not even have an idea of what better might be. Because children are realists - they aren't idealists. They have no expectations and no conditions of what this moment should be or not be. They simply play their part in acceptance of all that is - never considering what is not. They have an innate trust Life will serve them by doing whatever is necessary to make them more Conscious of Being all they can be. And Life always delivers. Life is all about making us more conscious in one way or another. Until we become like small children again, this will not always be a joyful process. In fact - its guaranteed not to be.
The minute children are born they are indoctrinated into the Universal mind - being told to think for themselves which equates to 'do not listen to your intuition or the signs of life. Listen to me and what I say is right or wrong, whether that is a parent, a teacher, a friend and later on the government, a judge, a policeman etc - all of which have been indoctrinated into the "They Say" club too. So, life is lived at the level of the mental realm - the thinking realm as opposed to the being realm - the Spiritual realm.
While children are busy thinking for themselves, they are also at the same time absent from the very temple, intuition and spiritual guidance is given - which is the Present Moment. Only in and as Present Moment Awareness can one receive the gifts of Spirit. If one's attention or consciousness is attending thoughts, then it is absent in the Now. If it is in the Now, then one's attention is absent in thoughts. There are only two places anyone can be - in reality or in their thoughts. That is all. There is nowhere else. This means you are either giving life to the mental realm by taking thought (thinking) or you are, as mind, giving life to the Spiritual realm by 'being' in the moment. Thinking is a state of mind that creates an ego - a false sense of Self. Being is a state of mind that reveals the true Self as Spirit. Always be in the moment. Never think in it. Practice mindfulness until it becomes a way of life.
Ideas will be given in the moment. What to do, say, be and think will 'come' to you in the moment you need it. It will come as an Awareness that has no doubt attached to it whatsoever. That is how you can tell the difference. The mind doubts itself. It never doubts Spirit when it is touched by Spirit. Added to this - Spirit always accomplishes that which is sets out to do. You will never fail. If you do fail, it is because you have not yet merged Mind Consciousness with Spiritual Consciousness.
