This was true for me. My thoughts led me astray - led me straight to hell. I recognized this and in that moment decided to never let any thought come to mind unless it pertained to the present moment, unless it was loving, unless it illuminated me in some way. I advertently stayed in Present Moment Awareness and thought less until thinking became being. I found then that illumination came to me without any thought whatsoever. It came to me because I accidently - or unknowingly merged with my Soul which is omniscient - all knowing. It was at this time that I realized life - all life lived itself perfectly without me having to think about it or manipulate it with my thoughts. Through these realizations I found within myself a peace that passed all understanding. A peace that saw me giving up looking for it in the outer world for I had found it in and as myself.
