It is like floating or sleeping. The more you try to float or sleep, the more both activities evade you. Deeply relax and let go, witnessing this moment always in all ways.
Just witness life without thinking about it, which is the same as saying do not judge it, for every thought is a judgement. That is mindfulness. No effort required.
If thoughts come, so what. Let them go again. If you give them your attention or attend them, they stay. Do not attend them. Carry on as the witness.
