The opposite of life is not death, it is the afterlife. Death has no opposite because death is completion.
In fact, when you are speaking to your higher self one of the first messages it gives you is to surpass the fear of death.
When you experience an NDE, you experience a moment that helps you fear death less.
All of this is done because death is the goal, not the result. Death is the most amazing experience you will ever experience but you cannot experience it without life.
Life gives your death meaning, but most importantly life gives your death an experience. What you love in this life, you experience in the afterlife.
