This is not easy, but it is necessary and boy when you are the one in a hateful state of mind but are loved anyway, is felt as being beyond grateful. It takes you off guard, completely disarming you for the most part. It humbles you and restores your faith in humanity. And really it is only when we are in our most hateful state that we need love the most. Bear in mind love is not always soft and fluffy, it can be hard and disruptive, but it is always in all ways beneficent and non-maleficent.
Love for enemies...
"You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbour and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray (This means meditate and let your true Self as Spirit go before the personal you that cannot forgive) for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven (You are the child as Mind/body & the Father as Spirit). He causes his sun (Buddha or Christ Mind) to rise on the evil and the good and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be (Being is meditation & serves Spirit. Thinking is personal & serves itself, bearing in mind "Every thought is a judgment" - Eckhart Tolle) perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect - Matthew 5:43-48
