The mind was born in the image of Spirit for it is the vessel for Spirit. Its avatar.
I Spirit (intelligence) Am Soul (Love) that I conscious mind (thought) am subconscious mind (emotion). Before the Spirit of truth aka Holy Ghost can enter its vessel, the mind must first be purged of its wrong identification with its own consciousness through being purified. What sullied the incarnating mind was a lack of consciousness - a lack of Awareness of its true Self as Spirit being Soul. It only knows the I am of its being as form. It does not know yet it's true Self that is formlessness.
Furthermore, with identifying as the mind rather than Spirit, it believes it must create a life through thinking, rather than revealing life through Being. Thinking and being are two completely different mind sets that renders two completely different realities.
Thinking veils, the Spirit as in order to think one must rise out of its temple - which is the subconscious and into its illusionary thoughts. If one's consciousness - one's conscious mind or Inner I as some refer to it is being used to create thought, it will not be in its temple to become conscious of itself both emotionally and spiritually. It is only when the two minds come together as one - the conscious (I) and the subconscious mind (am), that the mind or temple can be used as a channel or door for one's Spirit to enter the vessel consciousness allowing one to experience true Self - Realization. While the mind stays risen in its own thoughts outside its Temple it cannot become conscious of itself as Spirit. This is why Jesus said to keep the mind unleavened for bread in the bible means mind or thought - where we receive our mana or guidance - our blessings from Spirit.
We purify the mind therefore, by keeping our conscious mind aka thought in the subconscious which always in all ways sits in Present Moment Awareness. The subconscious is part of the Soul. Everyone's subconscious collectively IS the One Soul.
Firstly, the subconscious must be purified - the temple must be prepared for the coming of the Lord aka True Self. From the day you were taught to think for yourself you have created unconsciously which of course has caused you and others around you to suffer. To have formed core beliefs or habits such as I am not worthy, I am a mind/body, I am ugly, I am - so many untrue things. All this must be addressed and then let go of. A mind cut off from its Source is like a cancer cell that no longer recognizes its DNA/RNA. It lives and grows in ignorance of what it is doing to the body to the point it eventually kills it. This is why we have cancer in the world. It is merely a reflection of the universal mind - the matrix that is collectively disconnected to its Source as Spirit. As above so below.
Once the world has realized the Oneself, cancer will not be able to exist at all. If one is plugged into the One Universal mind by thinking, it has every chance to attract to itself a cancer for the Universal mind is cancerous and no respecter of persons. The way to be cancer free (disregarding karma) if you do have it is to unplug from the Matrix aka Universal mind by Being in the moment, thereby being led by Spirit instead of the mind through thinking.
And this is how you purify the subconscious of everything. By disconnecting to the Universal mind and connecting to Spirit through being - through being Present Moment Awareness. When the conscious mind sits in the subconscious it automatically is being for the subconscious being a part of the One Soul IS the present moment. Once the subconscious has been purified and the Temple prepared with the joining of the I am the am you will be raised up into the Soul and led by Spirit (true Consciousness) that embodies all of existence. The Soul aka Awareness is the formless activity of Consciousness. You will still be affected by the Universal mind due to being in this world and the collective Karma of, however you won't be creating anymore karma for yourself or the world. Realization will lessen the impact the universal mind has on you to a large degree.
So they came to Jerusalem (Higher understanding). Then Jesus went into the temple (subconscious) and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. (All the core beliefs and bad habits that no longer serve you or the Spirit of your being – that sells you out and causes you and others to suffer). And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple. (Past or future thoughts). Then He taught, saying to them, 'Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'? Prayer is meditation). But you have made it a 'den of thieves.'' (Thoughts are thieves that rob you of your consciousness distracting you or pulling you away from your Temple). And the scribes and chief priests’ old belief patterns that were once cherished and held as true) heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching. – Mark 2: 13-1
