As soon as you join a school of thought, a religion, a particular philosophy etc, you lose all objectivity, for from that moment on, you try to make the truth fit your idea of it, rather than surrendering yourself to fit into what reality asserts is true. You cease holding beliefs through letting said beliefs hold you.
Metaphysics subscribes to no wo/man - it seeks the principles - the common denominators in all religions and schools of thought, seeking only the truth which is found in all walks of life, if observed closely enough.
